CS Alamos Golf Course in Portimão

Located on the north part of CS Morgado do Reguengo Resort, CS Álamos Golf course is a different course. We say different because this 18-holes golf course has great views over the water reservoir and the vineyard, showing the peaceful inner Algarve. You will also see differences on the course layout. These irregular fairways are tighter than CS Morgado Golf, and each hole is well delimited by native trees. Greens are smaller comparing with his "brother course", but more irregular. Bunkers are part of this Par 71, but in a short figure - just half of Morgado Golf's number. Together, Morgado and Álamos represent a complete test to your golf skills and the guarantee of some unique moments.

Boavista Golf Course in Lagos

With two distinctive sections the course offers a variety of holes commencing with the welcoming first hole, a meandering downhill par-4, bordered by beautiful sub-tropical landscaping leading to harmoniously designed properties. The signature hole on the outward nine is the stunning par-4, 7th hole set against a glorious backdrop of the Atlantic ocean with exhilarating panoramic views extending from Praia da Luz round to with the hills at Monchique creating a spectacular backdrop.

Oceanico Faldo Golf Course

The Oceânico Faldo Course covers undulating terrain, linking two of the highest points on the expansive Amendoeira estate. Strategy is constandly important here, and players have two position each shot to score well. From the first hole, a challenging uphill par 4, to the last, a magnificent par 5, the hills and undulating ground are used to the maximum to create a course to challenge the mind as well as the skill of the player.

Pestana Gramacho Golf Course

Nick Price, the former world Nr.1 player, has teamed up with the well-known golf course architect, Ronald Fream, to create a uniquely designed 18 hole course with 27 varied greens that enable the golfer to play the same course several times with different greens and new challenges.
The design technique has positioned the greens and protective bunkers so that an 18 hole round is a genuine challenge. The positioning of the tee markers helps to increase this variety still further. As in the case of the Pinta Course, this course is maintained at tournament standard all the year round.

CS Morgado Golf Course

CS Morgado Golf course is one of the most quiet in the region. The 18-hole course is in an area that as been moderately landscaped so it fits perfectly in the surrounding countryside. It is home to five PAR 5, nine PAR 4's and four PAR 3's. Besides its length, the course also as an impressive average green size (800 m2), lakes and a series of strategically located bunkers. These features combine to make this golf course a true Championship Course.

Oceânico O'Connor Golf Course

The Oceânico O´Connor Jnr. Golf Course is the perfect complement to the Faldo Course as the new Oceânico Amendoeira Golf Resort. The challenges of this course with easy walking through the rich, fertile valley are lakes and strategically placed bunkers, lakes and streams feature on nine of the eighteen holes, including the 3rd where water surrounds an island which is home to a landmark moorish relic. Multiple tees make the course enjoyable for players of all standards.

Palmares Golf Course in Lagos

Palmares enjoys a beautiful location in the western Algarve near the historic city of Lagos, commanding magnificent views of the Lagos bay, and the distant Monchique hills. The course was designed by the famous English golf architect Frank Pennink who made outstanding use of the unique situation and who was able to include in his design five Links holes on the dune close to the Atlantic beach of Meia Praia.

Pestana Vale da Pinta Golf Course in Lagoa

The Pinta Course is one of the best-designed courses in Europe. It is a Championship course with an exceptional layout designed by the famous American golf course Architect, Ronald Fream, and inaugurated in 1992. It has earned a deserved reputation for the outstanding level of maintenance of the course, and its design, which makes it a challenge to golfers of all standards.
The Pinta Course was 5 consecutive times host to the Seniors Tour. The fairways are Bermuda grass, while strategically positioned sand bunkers protect the greens, clad in Pen Cross Bent, and two ornamental lakes influence play at four different holes around the course.

Pestana Silves Golf Course

Silves is a serene spot, but the course is anything but the proverbial walk in the park. A drive at the opening hole has to flirt with two water hazards on both flanks. A heroic and straight shot will reward the player with an easy uphill approach. Silves encourages and rewards attacking play. The excellent condition, all year round, is ideal for low scoring. A relentless test in precision, this course has no peers. It is the "archetype" of man-sized parkland golf. Most holes offer a spectacular mountain and valley view, overlooking palm trees and olive groves. The severity of the bunkering is enough defence against the onslaught of the games big guns.

 Central Algarve Golf

Balaia Golf Village

This attractive par-3 course is one of the Algarve´s golfing gems. Set within the Balaia Golf Village complex, east of Albufeira and looking out over the ocean, it is a course to test every golfer, irrespective of handicap. Play eighteen holes to concentrate on your short game, without the drilling which time on a practice ground sometimes implies. Alternatively, just play nine - leaving plenty of time for other activities.

Oceânico Laguna Golf Course in Vilamoura

Laid out over low-lying coastal terrain, this course, with its many water hazards and few trees, is considerably different from the other ones at the resort and many of its holes convey a links atmosphere.
U.S. golf architect Joseph Lee designed this course which was opened in 1990 and many previous visitors will recognise it as part of the former 27-hole Vilamoura III course. It has been subject to continual improvements over the years.
Measuring 6,111 metres from the white tees, the par-72 course includes several lakes which influence play on a total of 11 holes. In addition to acting as hazards and emergency water reservoirs, these lakes serve a useful purpose in attracting a variety of aquatic birds, both resident and migratory, as well as amphibians, otters, terrapins etc.
Vilamoura's master developers, Lusotur, have also established an environmental nature park not far from the course.
Apart from the lakes and an impressive total of 79 bunkers, another hazard is the wind that frequently blows over this somewhat exposed location.
Laguna shares a large, welcoming clubhouse with the neighbouring Millennium Course.

Oceânico Millennium Golf Course in Vilamoura

Millennium Golf Course was designed by architect Martin Hawtree, and opened in May 2000.A great deal of forethought went into the planning and the Millennium Golf Course is surely destined to become one of the most attractive courses built to date in Portugal. In a beautiful setting within the pinewoods and natural countryside it has a layout that offers variety and interest for the golfer.

San Lorenzo Golf Course - Vale do Lobo, Almancil

San Lorenzo Golf Course is set on the exclusive Quinta do Lago State, overlooking the outstanding Ria Formosa natural park. The hole layouts and water obstacles are demanding and sometimes quite tricky, offering a dramatic round that lingers in the memory of all golfers who play this course.

Pine Cliffs Golf Course in Albufeira

This is one of the country's most original golf courses, built in a pinewood setting, with tree lined fairways running parallel along the Atlantic Ocean, giving it's guests breathtaking views along the Algarvian coastline. Architect Martin Hawtree's main concern was to keep the natural surroundings as it was before the course was built.

Oceânico Pinhal Golf Course in Vilamoura

This was the second golf course built in Vilamoura and inaugurated in 1976, having originally been designed by Frank Pennink, the architect of the nearby Vilamoura Old Course. Several refinements were incorporated over the years, the most significant one by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1985. It is typified by rolling parkland terrain covered with numerous umbrella and Atlantic pines that line many of the fairways and a few even stand out on fairways or near greens. Ponds and a stream come into play on five holes but are not serious threats to above-average golfers. To keep up with modern technical advances in clubs and balls, several holes have recently been lengthened and the par-72 course now measures 6,353 metres off the white tee markers.
The clubhouse was completely renovated and modernised at the turn of the millennium and from the large verandah one can enjoy a panoramic view over the excellent driving range and practice facilities.

Pinheiros Altos Golf Course in Quinta do Lago

Pinheiros Altos course is considered one of the best courses along the Algarve and is located within the well-known Quinta do Lago resort. For most experienced golfers this course is known for its challenging strategically placed hazards. The fairways are generous and the outward nine-holes are played through attractive a pine forest. The back nine holes is when the play is more demanding and brings many water hazards into the game. A very attractive hole is the 17th with its peaceful inviting green which sits on an island surrounded by a lake.

Quinta do Lago Norte Golf Course

The course has two architects. The American WILLIAM MITCHELL designed holes 1 to 5 and 15 to 18 in 1974. These holes (as with the other course) share a unique character.
The terrain is superb and typical of the area, sandy and littered with umbrella pines trees. In the spring, the rough is covered with a blanket of wild flowers, heather and gorse. The Fairways and tees are covered with Bermuda hybrid with a cool season mixture of grasses, which provides year-round, top quality swards. The greens are sown with Creeping Bentgrass Penncross, giving a fast, true putting surface, and which provide good all-year round putting surfaces. The bunkering is incomparable, both on the fairways and surrounding the greens and gives the course an advantage over many of similar quality and design.
This course has four great Par 5 holes requiring power and accuracy to play them well, also providing superb views. The Par 3 holes are all influenced by the wind, hole 14 is outstanding. The Par 4´s are all doglegs except for holes 10 and 13. Precision driving is vital to set up the chance of a low score. Lakes on holes 12 and 18 claim many victims. The course is an anti-clockwise loop and favours that can draw the ball.
These holes have more cross falls on the fairways than the other layouts and all the Par 4 and 5 holes are doglegs, demanding precise tee shots, to set up straightforward approaches. Like the “Quinta do Lago South” course, it is a favours the players who can draw the ball.
Holes 6 to 14 were designed by JOSEPH LEE with the collaboration of ROCKY ROQUEMORE, both from the USA, and opened in 1989.
All the famous male and female players who have experienced this course, including “Ryder Cup” and “Curtis Cup” team members, have been euphoric in their praise for this course, which will soon take its place among the great European layouts.

Quinta do Lago Sul Golf Course

Designed by WILLIAM MITCHELL from the USA and opened in 1974, the Quinta do Lago South course was used eight times for the "Portuguese Open Championship" in 1976, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 2001. It has also hosted many large professional and amateur championships.
The favourite of many tour players, this course offers the possibility to hit the greens in regulation in several ways. However, each hole has one easy route and the player who sees this, and has the skill to follow the designer's intention, and produce sub-par figures. An anti-clockwise loop, it favours the draw shot.
This course favours the long hitter, but requires the player to pick a particular route to score well. Although both anti-clockwise loops, the first nine favours a draw, while the second favours a fade from the tee. Holes 3, 15 and 17 features lakes, which must be negotiated.
Holes 8, 10, 15 and 18 are the most testing for the scratch player while holes 2, 3, 5, 12, 13 and 17 offer the best possibilities of birdies. An enjoyable experience for players of all standards.
This course favours the long hitter, but requires the skill to score well. Although the front and back nines are both anti-clockwise loops, the first nine favours a draw, while the second favours a fade from the tee. An enjoyable experience for players of all standards.

Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course

The Royal Golf Course, located at Vale do Lobo Algarve, has rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers. Its features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover - one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, and one which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve. The Royal Golf Course is a par 72, with 18 holes distributed over 6.102 metres.

CS Salgados Golf Course

The beauty that surrounds you may simultaneously become a source of distraction and inspiration. The proximity of the sea and the presence of countless lagoons turn this course into an outstanding example even within the impressive context of Portuguese golfing facilities. But the beauty of its 6,200 meters, from the first tee to the last hole, may be misleading, for its water and sand obstacles represent a real challenge even for more experienced players. Approaches to the green are not easy and a confident swing is fundamental to obtaining a good score. One other thing that turns this course into a pleasurable place for players with better techniques is the placing of the drive, a skill which is also essential for good results.

Oceânico Old Course

Situated in the heart of the Vilamoura seaside resort a mere 20-minute drive from Faro airport, this Frank Pennink designed parkland style layout is one of the oldest in the region and renowned all over the golfing world. Often described as the Grande Dame of Algarve courses, it meanders throughout impressive pinetrees - the principal hazard - over gently undulating natural terrain. Although it opened in 1969, the course was completely renovated and modernised 27 years later although no major changes were made to the magnificent layout. In addition to raising the Vilamoura Old Course to new heights of quality, an attractive new clubhouse and adjacent putting green were also built at that time. As with all Vilamoura courses, environmental protection practices are strictly adhered to by means of detailed management systems in line with guidelines established by ISO 14001 standards, Green Globe and Committed to Green programmes.

Oceanico Victoria Golf Course

"Victoria Clube de Golfe" is a championship course of 18-hole par 72 course, occupying a total area of 90 hectares and with a total distance of 6,560 meters. Every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the existing wetlands, the typical vegetation of carob, olives and almond trees, and several lakes, occupying 13 hectares, providing mirrors of water and strategic reservoirs for watering purposes. With 5/6 tees per hole, wide and undulating fairways, extensive water obstacles and well positioned bunkers; Victoria will reward heroic and ambitious shots. Another major attraction is formed by an exceptional driving range and by an enormous putting green area of around 2,500m2. One extraordinary fact concerning Victoria is that the Palmer design team masterly created 18 greens with totally different shapes and sizes. This is one of the distinguishing characteristics of the course, and for which local knowledge will be an advantage.

Quinta da Ria Golf Course in Tavira

Rocky Roquemore is the course architect, and has taken advantage of this beautiful setting in a Nature Reserve with the blue sea as its southern boundary. A first hole of 475 meters is a par-5 and sets the style of the course by taking the player down a gentle slope to the first of many undulating greens. The par-3 fifth hole is a challenging dogleg to the left with a water hazard to catch the short ball. The home nine takes the player close to the beach providing panoramic sea views. The interesting par-4 fourteenth of 333 meters is another dogleg to the left and presents water to the right on the drive, and then again inviting water to your left to carry on the approach shot to the green. The broad fairway of the eighteenth par-5 of 475 meters brings the player to a tricky green which is almost surrounded by its protecting bunkers.
